These factors carry the most weight in determining a carrier's overall risk percentile.

Carrier Operations

  • New Authority: Interstate Operating Authority has been active for less than 6 months.
  • Pending Cancellation: Interstate Operating Authority is currently under notice of pending cancellation.
  • Frequent Transfers: Authority has been transferred multiple times within the past 2 years.
  • Fatal Crash Involvement: Carrier was involved in a fatal crash (regardless of fault) within the past 12 months.
  • No Roadside Inspections: Carrier has had no roadside inspections in the past 12 months.
  • Conditional Safety Rating: Carrier holds a Conditional safety rating from the FMCSA.

Recent Data Changes

  • Phone Number Change: Contact phone number was updated in the past 6 months.
  • Email Address Change: Contact email address was updated in the past 6 months.
  • Contact Personnel Change: Contact representatives were changed within the past 6 months.
  • Address Change: Physical or mailing address was updated in the past 6 months.

VOIP Usage

  • Phone Number Sharing: The current or former contact phone number is shared with 3 or more companies.
  • Address Sharing: Physical or mailing address is shared with 3 or more companies.
  • Email Sharing: The current or former email address is shared with 3 or more companies.

Hiring Disqualifiers

  • Out of Service: Carrier is marked Out of Service.
  • Unsatisfactory Safety Rating: Carrier holds an Unsatisfactory safety rating from the FMCSA.
  • Inactive Authority: Carrier’s Interstate Operating Authority is missing or inactive.
  • Unhirable Classification: Carrier's operation classification falls into an unhirable category.* *Passenger carrier operations are considered unhirable since most vetting processes are focused on Interstate Cargo carriers.
